M/S. Lafarge India Arasmeta Cement Plant

We’re located in the Lala Lajpat Rai Society area of Bhopal. This is the office side of things for the Arasmeta Cement Plant. Most of the heavy lifting and actual cement making happens at the plant, but we handle the administrative side here. It’s a lot of tracking shipments and making sure the supply chain doesn't break down. Cement is one of those things people don't think about until they need it, but we think about it all day long. The office is pretty standard, nothing to write home about. We have a few computers, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of phone lines that never seem to stop ringing. We deal with a lot of different people, from truck drivers to site managers. It can get a bit stressful when a shipment is late or there’s an issue at the plant, but we just take it one step at a time. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or polished websites. We’re just here to make sure the cement gets to where it’s supposed to go. Bhopal is a busy place, and being in the society means we’re around other businesses too. It’s a practical setup for what we need to do. Most of us have been here for years, so we’ve seen the industry change quite a bit.
