Mansukh K Kodrani

My name is Mansukh K Kodrani and I run Uma Jewellers. We are located at Plot Number 249 in Ward 12 B of Gandhidham, over in Kachchh. It’s a small shop where we keep things simple. People from around the neighborhood come to us when they need something specific. We have been in this spot for quite some time now. The display cases are full of pieces we've had for a while and some newer things too. It's a quiet life in Gandhidham mostly. We open the shutters in the morning and sit with our books. Jewelry is a personal thing for people here. They come in for weddings or gifts. We don't do much marketing. Most of our customers are people who have known us for years. My family has been involved in this for a long time. The shop isn't very large, but it’s enough for what we do. We spend the day talking to folks who stop by. Sometimes they just want to chat. We keep the place clean and the gold polished. Kachchh is a dry place, so we deal with the dust every day. It’s honest work. We don't make big claims about being the biggest. We are just here at Ward 12 B doing what we know how to do. Sometimes the afternoon sun hits the glass just right. We’ve seen families grow up through this shop window. It’s a nice way to live.
