Rudraksh Lumbers

It’s always busy here in the Main Market of Gandhidham. We are over at C-65, right where all the action happens. Rudraksh Lumbers has been our life for a good number of years. You can usually smell the fresh cut wood before you even see our shop. Dealing with timber means a lot of heavy lifting and getting splinters every now and then. We have different piles of wood stacked up everywhere, sometimes it’s hard to walk through the back. The Kachchh sun is no joke, so we try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning before it gets too hot. People come in looking for specific sizes for their homes or shops. We don't do fancy advertisements; word of mouth has always worked for us. Sometimes the traffic in the market gets backed up, especially on weekends, making it hard for the trucks to get in. We just handle things as they come. It’s a simple business, really. We buy wood, we store it, and we sell it to people who need it. My hands are always a bit rough from the work, but I don't mind it much. It feels good to see a pile of lumber turn into someone’s furniture later on. We stay open late most days to finish up the paperwork. It’s just how we do things here at the market and we’re happy to be part of the Gandhidham community.
