This is Mahesh’s business based out of Gandhidham in the Kachchh district. You can find us at SDX-N-30. It is a fairly simple setup in a town that is known for its heavy shipping and industrial connections. Gandhidham has a very specific layout, and being in the SDX area means we are surrounded by other working people and small businesses. The weather around here can be quite harsh, with the salt air and the heat, but we are used to it by now. The office is just a room where we keep our records and handle the daily logistics of the trade. We do not have a big team or a lobby with a receptionist. It is mostly just Mahesh and a couple of others keeping the wheels turning every day. Most of the day is spent on the phone or checking on our stock levels. The neighborhood is quiet during the mid-afternoon when it gets really hot, then it picks up again in the late evening. We have been in this spot for a good while, so the postman knows exactly where to drop the mail even if the numbering gets confusing for outsiders. It is a practical place to run a business from. We do not try to make the place look like something it isn't. It is just a reliable home base for the work we do in this part of Gujarat. People usually drop by without an appointment, and we just sit and talk over some hot tea.
