Mahavir Block Allied Industries

Our industrial unit is sitting at Plot No. 100 in the GIDC area of Gandhidham. Since it's out in Kachchh, the weather is almost always dry and incredibly hot. We spend our time making blocks and other materials meant for building. You will always find the yard covered in a layer of sand and cement dust. Between the big mixers and the molds, the place stays pretty busy and noisy. We never felt the need for a fancy corporate office. Instead, we have a small cabin with a table and some chairs for keeping our files. Because the sun is so brutal, we try to finish the heaviest work before noon. Most of the people we see are truck drivers picking up loads to take to construction sites. Being in the GIDC for so long, we’ve gotten to know the other people working on this road. It’s a rough environment, but it’s what we know. We don't use marketing tricks or make big promises we can't keep. We just make the blocks and hope the work speaks for itself so people come back. By the time we head home, our clothes are usually ruined with dirt and grime. That is just how life is when you are doing industrial work in Kachchh. Every day we just keep moving and getting the orders ready for the trucks.
