Mahalaxmi Salt Industries

Mahalaxmi Salt Industries is based out of Gandhidham. We are located in Sahil Apartment, specifically Shop 28 on Plot 18. It’s over in Sector 9. Living and working in Kuchchh, you get used to the salt business pretty quickly. It's a big part of the local life here. Our shop isn't right on the salt pans, of course, but it’s where we handle the administrative side and meet people. It’s a small room in the apartment building. We’ve got some files, a couple of chairs, and not much else. We don't feel the need for a big flashy office. Sector 9 is a decent area to be in. We’ve been here for several years now. The work involves a lot of coordinating and making sure the salt gets where it needs to go. It can be a bit repetitive, but it’s honest work. We don't have a huge staff, just a few people who know the ropes. Sometimes the salt dust gets on everything, even in the shop, but that’s just how it is in this industry. We don't spend money on advertising or anything like that. People who need salt usually know where to find us or they get our number from someone else. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We show up in the morning, do what needs doing at Sahil Apartment, and head home. That’s how we’ve always done it and we don't see things changing soon.
