Sameer Industries

We are located at Plot No. 204-207 in Sector No. 4 of the Kandla Special Economic Zone. Being out here in Gandhidham, Kachchh, means we deal with a lot of heat and dust, especially during the summer months. Our facility covers four plots, so we have a good amount of space for storage and moving things around. Sameer Industries has been part of this zone for quite a while. We handle all kinds of goods that move through the port and the economic zone. The wind out here can be very strong, and you can often smell the salt from the nearby sea. Most of the people working here have come from different parts of Gujarat to find work in the SEZ. We either live in the company housing or commute from the town. Our building is mostly a large warehouse with a tiny corner blocked off for the office work. We spend a lot of time counting crates and making sure everything is labeled correctly for shipping. It is mostly standing and walking on concrete floors all day long. We don't have a corporate office culture with lots of rules. We just follow the zone's regulations and get our daily tasks out of the way. The local canteen is where we grab our meals. It’s a busy place with trucks constantly moving in and out, but we just focus on our own corner.
