Over in the accounts department here in Mundra, things stay pretty steady and predictable. Abhishek Agarwal is the one you’ll see most often, sitting behind the stacks of ledgers and invoices. We are tucked away in the Taluka Mundra area of Kutch. It’s a dry landscape outside with plenty of sun, but inside we keep it busy with the numbers. This isn't a place for fancy meetings or coffee machines. It’s more about making sure the entries are right and the bills are paid on time. The wind blows a lot of sand in from the coast, so we are always dusting off the desks and the computer screens. We’ve got a small team, and everyone knows their job. Kishan Chand Agarwal’s son, Abhishek, has been keeping the books straight for a while now and he knows the system well. It’s a lot of staring at screens and checking paper trails. We don’t have a big corporate lobby with a fancy sign. You just come in, find the accounts desk, and handle what needs handling. It feels like a small family office even though the company name is big and well known. We drink a lot of cold water because of the heat. Sometimes the power goes out during the day, but we just wait it out and get back to work. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is.
