Jindal Saw Limited ,Samaghoga,Kutch,Gujrat

Even though the company name mentions Kutch, I am sitting here in Balangir, Orissa. Our office is at Tulsi Nagar, which is right near the Circuit House. It’s a pretty well-known landmark in this town. The building belongs to Dolamani Nanda and we have been using this space to keep things running for Jindal Saw in this region. Balangir is a different pace than the big industrial hubs. It’s slower and the trees give some nice shade around the office. We have a couple of rooms where we track shipments and talk to the local contractors. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. The walls are painted a simple cream color and we have some old maps pinned up. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we have to wait around, but we use that time to catch up on filing. There is a small garden outside where we take our breaks. It’s a practical setup. We don't have many visitors, but when we do, we usually just sit in the front room and talk over some chai. It feels very local. People in Tulsi Nagar know us as the pipe company people. We don't try to stand out too much. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s an honest way to spend the day and we like the quiet surroundings.
