We have our small shop, number 10, in the Surya Tower over at Plot No. 208. This is in Ward 12-B here in Gandhidham, Kachchh. It’s a busy building with a lot of different businesses coming and going. The smell of ink is the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. We’ve got a couple of printing machines that take up most of our floor space. They’re a bit old but they still run fine if you know how to treat them right. We spend a lot of time cutting paper and checking the colors on the sheets. It’s just a few of us working here. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded with tall stacks of paper and finished jobs waiting for the customers to pick them up. We don’t really have a big storefront window, just the metal door in the hallway. It’s a bit of a maze in Surya Tower if you’ve never been here before. We’ve been in Gandhidham for many years now. People know to come to Shop 10 when they need something printed for their own work. We don't do anything digital or fancy, just the standard stuff. The noise of the machines makes it hard to hear the phone ringing sometimes. We just keep our heads down and get the pages through the rollers. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days. We usually just eat lunch right at our desks.
