Insurance Corner

If you go down to Chawla Chowk, you’ll find us at D-27. Insurance Corner is a small place. We handle all the usual things like car insurance and life policies. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others sitting at the desks. People come in when they have an accident or when their papers are about to expire. We do a lot of typing and filing. Gandhidham is a place where people rely on their vehicles, so we stay busy with the local crowd. It’s not an exciting job, but someone has to do it. We have piles of forms and some old calendars on the walls. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Chawla Chowk is always full of activity, so there is always something to look at out the window. Sometimes we have to explain the same thing three or four times, but that’s just part of the work. We don't have any big corporate backing. We just sell the policies and help people fill them out. It’s been our spot for a long time. If you need to renew something, you just drop by and we get it done. No need for an appointment or anything like that. We keep it straightforward and honest. The office can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we manage.
