Kandla Cargo Handlers

Kandla Cargo Handlers operates out of Gandhidham, specifically over in the Golden Arcade building. We are on the first floor at plot 141-142 in Sector 8. Living and working here means you're always thinking about the port and the trucks. The office is right on Oslo Road. It’s a pretty busy spot with a lot of movement. We spend our days coordinating cargo. It’s mostly about making sure stuff gets from point A to point B without too much of a headache. Sometimes the paperwork for customs or transport gets a bit heavy, but that’s just part of the trade. We have a small desk setup and a lot of phone calls to make. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust from the road and the constant sound of heavy vehicles passing by. We know the local drivers and the routes pretty well. Most of us have been in this line of work for years. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get these containers moved. The office is a bit small for the amount of work we do, but we like it that way. It’s easier to talk to each other without having to get up. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall. Then it's back to the schedules and manifests. It’s just what we do here in Gandhidham.
