If you head down to the GIDC area in Gandhidham and look for Plot 60, that is where you will find us. We have been working with wood here for a long time. The smell of sawdust is basically part of the building now, you can’t get away from it. We have the big saws running most of the day, cutting down logs into whatever sizes are needed. It is hard work on the back and the hands, and it’s always hot out in the yard. We get different kinds of timber coming in on the big trailers and then we have to sort through it all. Some days are just spent moving heavy stacks of wood from one side of the plot to the other so we can get to something underneath. It isn’t a glamorous job and the noise can be a bit much if you aren't used to it. We have a small office tucked away in the corner where we handle the orders and talk to people who come by looking for specific cuts. Kachchh can be a tough place with the heat and the dust, but the industrial area is always busy. We just keep our heads down and keep the saws moving. Most of our customers are local builders or people looking for raw materials for furniture. It’s honest work and we like being part of the local industry here.
