Expo Packaging

Down in Kandla, things are a bit different because we're in the Economic Special Zone. Our place at Plot No. 52 in Sector Ll is where we do everything for Expo Packaging. Being in Gandhidham means dealing with the salt air and the Kachchh sun, which can be pretty brutal some months. We spend most of our time inside the warehouse where it’s a bit cooler. Since we are in the SEZ, there’s a lot of paperwork and security at the gates, which can be a real headache sometimes. But we’ve gotten used to the routine over the years. We handle a lot of different packaging materials here. You’ll see stacks of pallets and rolls of film everywhere you look. It’s a practical setup, nothing for show. We usually have a few trucks lined up outside waiting to load up. The crew here is mostly local guys who know the machines inside out. We don’t have fancy meetings; we just talk over what needs to be done while we're standing on the floor. Sometimes the dust from the surrounding area gets into everything, so we’re always cleaning. It’s a quiet kind of busy. We just keep our heads down and make sure the orders are packed right for wherever they're going. It's a long way from the city, but we like it here in Kachchh. It is a bit isolated, but the work is steady and that is what matters to us.
