Evershine Shipping Services

We’re located right in the Main Bazar of Gandhidham. If you head to the first floor of the S 36-37 building, that’s where you’ll find Evershine Shipping Services. Being in the bazaar means it’s always loud and there’s always something going on outside. It’s a good spot for a shipping business because we’re close to the heart of the town’s trade. Our office is pretty basic. We’ve got desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of logbooks. Shipping is a lot of waiting followed by a lot of rushing. We spend hours tracking vessels and making sure the paperwork for the customs guys is all set. It gets dusty and hot here in Kutch, and the air conditioning in the office struggles sometimes, but we don't mind much. We’ve been operating here for a good while. Most of our clients are people we’ve known for years. We don't really do the whole internet marketing thing; people just know we’re here in the market. Sometimes things go wrong at the port or a truck gets stuck, and we have to spend the whole night on the phone. That’s just part of the job. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the cargo gets where it’s going. It’s a simple life, focused on the docks and the roads. We’re just local people doing local work.
