Dharmesh Traders is located at Shop D-131-132, also right there in Zanda Chowk in the Main Bazar of Gandhidham. Being in the Main Bazar means it’s never quiet. From the moment we open the shutters, there is something going on. We have two units joined together, which gives us some space for all the trading goods we handle. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the crates and bags stacked up. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working warehouse and shop combined. The dust from the Kachchh plains is a constant battle, but we do our best with a broom every morning. We get all sorts of customers, from people buying one small thing to those needing a whole truckload. We don’t treat them any differently. It’s just trading, after all. The Zanda Chowk area is the heart of the town, so we see the parades and the festivals right from our doorstep. It makes the work day interesting. Sometimes the heat is a bit much, and we have to sit under the fan for a while with a cold drink. We’ve been running this for a long time. It’s not a corporate gig; it’s a family-run kind of thing. We just focus on keeping the stock full and the customers satisfied. It’s a decent way to spend the years. We just keep going, day after day, through the busy market life.
