Our office is in Gandhidham-Kachchh, at the Sunsai Arcade. We are on the second floor, Plot No. 59, right in Sector 8. Being in this part of Gujarat, salt is a massive part of the local life and our daily work. Dhanlaxmi Salt & Chemicals has been around for quite a stretch. We spend our time dealing with the production and sale of salt and related chemicals. It is a very practical business. If you visit the office, you will see a lot of maps and logistics charts pinned to the walls. Kachchh can be incredibly hot, and the sun is very bright, which is good for the salt pans but tough on the people working them. We handle the administrative side of things from the arcade. It is a plain office with a few fans that hum all day long. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. They know the salt business inside and out. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything like that. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the trucks are moving as they should. You often end up with a bit of salt on your clothes or shoes, even if you stay in the office all day. It is just part of living and working in Gandhidham. We take our tea breaks together and talk about the weather or the market. It is a steady, quiet way to run a business.
