Babulal M Bagrecha

My name is Babulal M Bagrecha and I run things from our spot at D B Z North 12 in Gandhidham. We are right on Collector Road, pretty close to the C L Sharma Guest House, which is usually how people find us if they are new to the area. Kachchh is a unique place to live and work, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. My office is a small room at the front of the building where I keep all the ledgers and records on an old desk. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning in every corner, just a simple ceiling fan and some old wooden chairs for visitors. People stop by to chat or talk about business throughout the day. We deal with various things depending on what is needed in the local market. It is more about personal connections here than anything else. You might see me sitting outside sometimes when the weather is nice, or if there is a lot of noise inside from the street. We don't follow a very strict corporate schedule. We start when the sun is up and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s a very local way of doing things. I handle most of the important stuff myself. This place has a lot of history for me. It’s where I’ve spent most of my working years, just doing my bit here in Gandhidham. I know most of the people who walk past our door every morning.
