Our spot is right on the N H Way 8-A, out in the Chudva area of Gandhidham. If you’ve driven through Kachchh, you’ve probably passed by us without thinking much about it. It’s a dry and dusty stretch of road, especially when the wind picks up. We’ve got the fuel pumps outside and a small building where we keep the books and take the payments. It isn't a flashy place by any means. The sun beats down on the pavement all day, so we spend a lot of time under the shade of the canopy. We see a lot of long-haul truck drivers who are tired and just want to fill up and maybe grab a quick rest. There is always a layer of dust on the windows no matter how often we clean them. We’ve been operating here for a while, dealing with the daily supply of fuel and the occasional breakdown of a pump. It’s a quiet life in some ways, just watching the traffic go by on the highway. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just keep the tanks full and make sure the trucks can keep moving toward the port or wherever they are headed. Sometimes we sit out back in the evening when it finally cools down a little bit.
