Bhaichara Salt Allied Industries

Down in Gandhidham-Kachchh, you will find Bhaichara Salt Allied Industries at Plot No 110, Sector 3. It is a dry area, and the salt is everywhere. You can see it on the trucks and even on the shoes of everyone who walks into the office. We deal with salt and the various things that go along with it. The sun is very strong here, so we usually start early in the morning before it gets too unbearable. Our building is a sturdy one, designed to handle the heavy loads we move through here. There is a lot of loading and unloading happening throughout the week. We have a small team, and everyone knows their job. It is not the kind of place where people wear suits. We are mostly in work clothes, dealing with the grit and the white dust that comes from the salt. The machinery we use is old but we take care of it ourselves mostly. When the wind picks up, you can really taste the salt in the air. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now, and we’ve seen the sector change as more businesses move in. It’s a lot of physical work, making sure the bags are stacked right and the trucks are weighed correctly. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. The local tea guy knows when to bring our afternoon round and we appreciate the break.
