We spend most of our time down here at Dhiraj Chambers, specifically in Plot 36 over in Sector 9-A. If you know Gandhidham, you know it gets pretty dusty with all the port traffic and the wind coming off the salt pans. Balaji Heavy Lifter has been sitting in this spot for a good while now. Most days it’s just about managing the machines and making sure the operators know where they’re supposed to be. It’s not a quiet job. You’ve got the heavy gears, the cranes, and all that iron moving around. People stop by the office looking for some help with big loads that regular trucks can't handle. We just sit around the desk, look at the schedules, and try to get the logistics sorted out without too much fuss. Sometimes the heat in Kachchh gets to be a bit much, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the building just right. We usually have the fans going full blast. It’s mostly about getting the equipment out to the sites on time. Nobody here wears a suit, that’s for sure. We’re usually covered in a bit of grease or dust by lunchtime. It’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with heavy lifting. We’ve seen the sector change a lot over the years, more buildings going up and the roads getting busier, but we’re still right here in the same place doing the same daily grind with the cranes.
