Aradhana Ornaments

Aradhana Ornaments is over in Gandhidham, right in the Mahatma Gandhi Market. We are at Shop 47 in Sector 1-A. The market is always buzzing with people, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is out. Our shop is quite small, but we make the most of the space we have. We have glass cases filled with different pieces we've collected or made over the years. It’s a family-run thing. My brother handles the customers while I look after the stock and the books. We don't use any big marketing tricks or fancy posters. People just know we are here because we’ve been in the same spot for a long time. The market can get really hot in the summer, so we have a small cooler that we keep running all day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use candles or torches to show the items to the customers. It’s just how things are here in this part of town. We talk to the other shopkeepers a lot. It’s a friendly community and we look out for each other. We don't have a big staff, just the two of us and sometimes a cousin helps out when it gets busy. We try to keep the shop clean, but the dust from the street always finds its way in. We just take it day by day and hope for a steady stream of people. It’s enough for us. We just keep the doors open and wait.
