Amandeep Singh Loader

We operate out of Plot No. 80 in Guru Govind Nagar. Being so close to Kandla Airport means there is always a lot of traffic and movement around here. Amandeep Singh started this because there was a need for reliable loading work in Anjar. It's not a desk job. Most of the day is spent outside near the machines or talking to drivers who are passing through. The dust from the road gets everywhere, especially when the wind picks up near the coast. We keep our loaders ready to go whenever a call comes in. It’s basic work but it’s hard work. My hands are usually dirty by nine in the morning. We don't have a big sign or a fancy waiting room for people. Usually, someone just walks into the yard and asks for Amandeep or one of the boys. We grew up around these machines, so we know how they sound when something is off. It’s a noisy neighborhood with the planes taking off and the trucks moving, but you get used to it after a week. We keep our attention on getting the load moved and keeping the schedule tight. If the weather is bad, everything slows down, but we try to make up the time later. It’s a simple life running a loader business in Anjar, just keeping things moving from one place to another without any fuss.
