You can find us over at 108 Anam Complex on Plot No. 37 in Sector 9. Being in Gandhidham means we have to deal with a lot of dust and the afternoon heat, but that’s just how it is in Gujarat. Our main work is plywood, so there is always that faint smell of wood and glue hanging in the air around the office. The complex is pretty busy during the day with people coming in to check on their orders or look at samples. We have wood pieces lying around and plenty of old ledgers on the shelves. It’s a straightforward operation here. No one wears suits; we just wear what is comfortable for moving around a warehouse or office. Sector 9 is a good spot because the logistics for the trucks are much easier. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic on the highway, and we have to sit around waiting to get everything sorted. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s steady work that keeps us all busy from the morning until the sun goes down. We’ve got some regular faces who come in to chat about their latest building projects. We try to keep the place tidy, but with plywood, there is always a bit of grit on the floor. The office is small enough that we can all talk to each other without even getting up. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily stock and sales as they come in.
