Agarwalla Timbers Pvt. Ltd. is based on the 1st Floor, B. 45, Shaktinagar in Gandhidham. We are right in the heart of the Kachchh area. Timber is what we know. Our office isn't anything special, just a place where we sit and talk to suppliers and buyers. Gandhidham is a busy town because of the port, so there’s always timber moving around. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking through the yards to check the wood. You can smell the sawed wood from a distance, which is a nice change from the city smells. We don't have a polished way of talking. We say things as they are. If the wood is good, we tell you. If there’s a delay at the port, we tell you that too. It’s an honest way of working. Most of us have been in this trade for years, so we’ve seen the market go up and down. We don't use big marketing slogans. We just rely on the fact that we've been at B. 45 for a long time. People know where to find us. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty from all the files, and the tea is usually a bit too sweet, but it’s home for us. We just keep track of the logs and make sure the trucks are loaded correctly before they head out to their destinations. It's a living.
