It is pretty busy here in the Kacmbla Special Economy Zone. We usually get to the unit quite early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Sometimes the power flickers and we have to wait a bit, but we mostly just keep the machines running through the day. It is mostly about getting the orders packed and ready to be shipped out on time. We spend a lot of our time checking the labels and making sure the fabric is the right color before we even start the cutting process. The small tea stall just down the road is where most of us go when we take our breaks. My brother helps out with the logistics and the paperwork side of things, which is a lot. It is just a regular day-to-day setup here for us. We have some older machines that need a bit of a kick sometimes to get them started, but they still do the job well enough for what we need. Dealing with all the various rules for the special zone can be a bit of a headache some days. When it rains, the metal roof gets really loud and you can hardly hear anything else. We just get on with the work regardless. Lately, we have been trying to organize the back storage room better because it was getting quite messy. It is a lot of physical work but it keeps everyone busy. Most of the people working here have been around for several years.
