Maraaz Foundation

We are located in the Maraaz Complex, right in the Main Market of Kangan in Ganderbal. It is a very lively place to be, especially when the market is in full swing. Our foundation has a small office there, and you can hear the sounds of the street all day long. It isn't a quiet or polished place. We have a few desks and some chairs, and that is about it. We like being in the middle of the market because it makes us very easy to find. People often drop in while they are out doing their shopping or just passing through Ganderbal. We don't have a big team of experts. We are just local folks who know Kangan well and want to be useful. Most of our work is done face-to-face. We talk to people, listen to their concerns, and try to help where we can. We don't use any fancy technology or marketing slogans. It is all very simple and straightforward. Some days the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit, but we don't mind the chaos. We have been here for a while and most of the shopkeepers nearby are our friends. We aren't trying to be a big, famous organization. We just want to be a steady, reliable presence in the Main Market for whoever needs us. It's just honest, local work.
