You can find Krm Coconuts over at Sri Lara Mahal No. 183 along Sakthy Main Road in Ganapathy. Dealing with coconuts is a messy business but it’s what we know how to do. Every morning the trucks come in loaded with fresh ones and we spend most of our time unloading and sorting them by size and quality. It’s heavy work and my hands are usually covered in dirt or fibers by the end of the day. The shop is right on the main road so there is always noise from the traffic passing by but we just get used to it. We don’t have a fancy office or air conditioning here just a big open space for the coconuts. My family helps out a lot and we’ve been doing this for years now. Some days are slower than others but there is always something to clean or a pile to move. We sell to the local vendors and sometimes people stop by to get a few for themselves. It’s a very basic setup without any frills. We don’t spend much time on the computer or phones unless we are checking on a delivery. Mostly it’s just about the physical labor and making sure the stock is good. It’s a honest way to earn a living and we are happy to be part of the Ganapathy community.
