Things move a bit slower out here in Kantragada. Powermech Projects Pvt.Ltd is based right here in the village, under the care of G. Chendra Sekhar’s family. We are easy to find if you make it to the Sailada post office. It’s a quiet part of the Gajapathi district in Orissa. Most people here know each other, so we don’t need a big sign or anything flashy. We go via Uppalada to get anywhere major. The air is better here than in the big cities, that’s for sure. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a sturdy place to keep our gear and do our planning. It’s a family-run kind of feeling even when we are working on big things. Sometimes the rains make the roads a bit tricky, but we’re used to it. We don’t use a lot of big words or have meetings that last all day for no reason. People come by, we talk about what needs doing, and then we go out and do it. Being in a rural spot means you have to be resourceful. You can't just run to a shop every five minutes for a spare part. We’ve learned to be patient and work with what we have. It’s a good life in the village, and we’re proud to be part of the community here in Pin-761211. Just regular people doing regular work in a place that feels like home. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else because this is where our roots are and where we feel most comfortable.
