Pooja Poly Plast

You can find us at Sy No 69 in Gaganpahad. We work with plastics, specifically poly plast products. It’s an industrial kind of area, so we fit right in with the other sheds. The sound of the molding machines is pretty much constant once we start the day. It’s a lot of heat and the smell of melting plastic, which you get used to after a while. We make different types of plastic items. It’s all about the molds and making sure the settings are right so things come out the way they should. There is a lot of waste material that we have to sort through and recycle back into the process. We have a small crew, mostly guys from nearby who have been with us for a while. It’s not the cleanest job, but it pays the bills. The floor is usually covered in little plastic pellets if someone isn't careful with the bags. Gaganpahad can get really busy with trucks, so getting stuff in and out takes some patience. We spend a lot of time just maintaining the machines so they don’t break down in the middle of a run. It’s a practical business, no frills. We have our orders, we run the machines, and we pack the boxes. That is the whole story. We’ve been at Sy No 69 for a good while and plan to stay as long as the machines keep turning. It’s noisy and warm, but it’s our daily routine.
