Ruthamma

My name is Ruthamma and I run things from my home at H No 5-37 in Harijanawada. This is in Bijjawaram Village which is part of the Maldakal Mandal in Jogulamba Gadwal District. It is a small place and everyone in the village knows where we are. I’ve been living here for a long time and decided to start this little venture to help with the family income. It isn't anything grand or fancy, just a small space where I handle my work every day. People from around the village come by when they need something or just to say hello. Being in a rural area like this means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but I prefer it that way. The weather can be quite dry here in Gadwal so we just take it one day at a time. I don't have a big office or a staff, it is mostly just me looking after the daily tasks. Sometimes my family helps out when things get a bit busy during the festival seasons. We have our roots deep in this village and the house has been our base for years. It’s a simple life and I enjoy being part of the community here. I didn't think I would be running a business from my house but here we are. It’s just how things turned out after living here for so many years.
