Maisamma Cement Bricks

Maisamma Cement Bricks is out in Gonupadu Village. Our spot is at H No 2-37, which is easy to find if you are in the Gadwal Mandal area. We spend our days mixing cement and sand and pressing them into bricks. It is hard on the back and the hands, but we are used to it by now. The Jogulamba Gadwal Dist has a lot of construction going on, so there is usually someone looking for a load of bricks. We stack them up in the yard to dry out in the sun. If the weather is good, they dry fast. If it’s raining, we have to wait, which can be frustrating because nothing moves. We aren't a big factory with machines doing every single thing. A lot of it is just us and a few workers doing the heavy lifting and stacking. The yard at H No 2-37 is always dusty, and there is usually a tractor or two parked nearby. We don't have a big office or a sales team. People just drive up to the village and ask for the brick place. We keep things honest and just tell people how many bricks we have ready to go. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us here in Gonupadu. We like being part of the local community and seeing our bricks being used to build the houses nearby.
