You can find us on the Main Road in Rampuri, Chandrapuri. We are quite close to the Telephone Exchange, which is the easiest landmark to give people when they are looking for us. The shop is always a bit dusty, no matter how much we sweep. That’s just part of being on a main road with so many trucks and buses going by all day. We have stacks of paint buckets near the entrance and rows of hardware toward the back. I usually stand behind the counter and wait for the regulars to come in for their supplies. It gets pretty loud with all the traffic outside, so sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve got a small fan that hums in the corner to keep the air moving, especially when it gets humid. The shelves are a bit disorganized if I’m honest, but I generally know where everything is tucked away. It’s a local kind of place where people stop by not just for a bag of cement or a tin of paint, but also just to say hello. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside and out. The light in the shop is a bit dim towards the back, so we use flashlights sometimes to find the smaller items. It’s a simple life running a hardware store on a busy road.
