H.C.C. Mumbai

H.C.C. Mumbai might have the name of the big city, but we are actually located in Kurkheda. This is in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. Specifically, you’ll find us at Gandhi Chowk. Our place is connected to P.A. Tondare’s family home. It’s a very small-town environment. Gadchiroli is known for its forests and being a bit remote, and Kurkheda is no different. We operate out of a modest building right in the heart of the village center. There’s no rush here like you’d find in Mumbai. We take things as they come. The office is just a room with some basic supplies and a couple of chairs for visitors. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or a social media manager. We just exist in this physical space. People from the nearby villages often stop by when they are in town for the market. It’s a very human way of doing things. We know the postman and the shopkeepers nearby. The weather can be quite unpredictable, with heavy rains in the monsoon that sometimes make travel difficult. But we stay open and do what we can. It’s an honest living in a quiet part of the state. We don’t try to be something we are not. We are just H.C.C. Mumbai, based in a small chowk in Kurkheda.
