Precise Survey & Measurements

Our spot is right opposite Sofiya Convent School in Palotganj. You can usually see our equipment cases sitting near the door. Precise Survey & Measurements is where we do all the technical mapping and data entry after being out in the field. The office is full of tripods and those yellow measuring tools. It's a bit of a trek to get out here sometimes, but the school across the street is a good landmark. We spend half our time outside in the dirt and the other half sitting at computers. The desks are covered in topographical maps and hand-written notes. It gets a bit messy when we have multiple projects going on. We aren't the type of place that has a fancy reception area. If you come in, you'll probably see someone hunched over a drawing or cleaning a lens. We use a lot of batteries and charging cables. The noise from the school during recess can be a bit much, but we've gotten used to it. We just focus on getting the numbers right. If the measurements are off, nothing else works, so we take our time. It’s a quiet business for the most part. We've been in Palotganj for a few years now. The local chai stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks. It’s just us doing our job and making sure the points line up on the screen. It keeps us occupied from morning until late.
