Omkar General Store

Omkar General Store is based at 1-4-15, 1st Main Road, in the town of Navalgund. We have been at this location for a long time and the building itself is showing its age a bit. The paint is peeling in some corners and the floor tiles are a bit cracked, but it serves us well enough for what we do. Being on the 1st Main Road means we see a lot of people walking by on their way to the market or the bus stop. We sell all kinds of small items that you might need in a hurry. We don't have a big staff, it is just us managing everything from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. The shelves are mostly made of wood and we have to reorganize them constantly to fit new stock. Navalgund is a quiet place for the most part, but the 1st Main Road can get a little busy during the festival seasons. We don't use any modern marketing or big signs to get attention. People just know we are here at 1-4-15. It is a lot of work to keep track of all the small items, and sometimes we lose a pen or misplace a notebook. We just do things the way we have always done them. It is an honest way to make a living and we are happy to be part of the community here. Every day is pretty much the same for us.
