Om Shiva Motor Driving School

Our driving school is right here in Dandeli, specifically at 112 J N Road. If you know where the Shrihari Theater is, you can’t miss us because we’re just opposite. It’s a good spot to be. We’ve got the cars parked out front, usually with the learner signs clearly visible. Dandeli isn't the biggest place, but the roads can get tricky, especially with the tourists coming through and the local traffic near the market. We spend most of our day out on the road, sitting next to people who are usually quite nervous for their first few turns. It’s a lot of repeating the same instructions about mirrors and signals, but we don’t mind. The office is just a simple room where we handle the license applications and the fees. We try to keep things straightforward and honest with everyone. If someone isn't ready for their test, we tell them. It’s better to spend more time practicing than to fail. We see a lot of local faces, and over the years, we’ve probably taught half the families in this neighborhood how to drive. The theater across the street brings a lot of life to the area in the evenings, but by then, we’re usually wrapping up and heading home ourselves. It’s just a regular local business, helping people get their independence on the road while avoiding the monkeys near the forest edges.
