Md Chili Powder is located on Chikkahandigol Road in Hulkoti. It’s a small place where we focus on one thing, which is grinding up chilies. The air in the shop is always a bit spicy, and it makes you sneeze if you aren't used to it. We’ve been here on this road for a few years. It’s a rural area, so a lot of our neighbors are farmers. We get the dried chilies and process them right here. It’s a dusty job and we usually end the day covered in red powder. The machinery we use is old but reliable. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us working the grinders and packing the bags. Hulkoti is a quiet town for the most part, though Chikkahandigol Road gets some tractor traffic now and then. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come to the door and buy what they need. It’s a very straightforward business. We don't spend money on ads or social media. We just make the powder and sell it. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around to finish the batch, but that’s just life here. We keep our prices fair and our work honest. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way. Most of the folks around here know us and just stop by whenever they run out.
