Chaitanya Bags

We are based out of the KHDC Colony in Narasapur, over in the Betageri part of town. It’s a workspace where we spend our time with fabric, thread, and sewing machines. There are bags of all kinds lying around—school bags, shopping bags, and some sturdier ones too. The room is usually filled with the sound of the machines running and the smell of new material. It’s not a retail showroom with fancy displays. It’s more of a workshop where the actual making happens. We’ve got rolls of cloth stacked against the walls and scissors on every table. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with scraps of thread on the floor, but that’s just how it is when you’re busy. The light comes in through the side windows and helps us see the stitching. We started this because we knew how to put things together. People from the colony and around Narasapur know where we are if they need something fixed or a new bag for their kids. We don't do much advertising. We just sit here and work through the orders as they come. It’s a small team, mostly just family and a few neighbors helping out. We take breaks when we can and have tea outside. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We hope the bags we make last a long time for the people who buy them.
