Gurnanka

Gurnanka is located in the pind, specifically near the Jamni Sahib Gurudwara in Ferozepur. Being so close to the Gurudwara gives the whole place a certain feel. We hear the morning prayers every day, which is a nice way to start the work. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us working in the village. We deal with whatever the local folks need, mostly agricultural supplies and basic goods. The building we work out of is old, made of solid bricks, and it stays relatively cool even in the summer heat. We don't have a computer to track everything. We still use the big paper ledgers and write everything down by hand. It works for us and we've never seen a reason to change it. Ferozepur is a place where people still take the time to talk to each other. We spend a lot of time just chatting with customers about the weather or the crops. It's not just about the money; it’s about being part of the pind. We don't have any flashy signs or posters. Just a small board with the name Gurnanka on it. If you're coming from the main road, just look for the Gurudwara and you'll find us nearby. We usually have a pot of tea going, so feel free to sit for a minute. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we have a bucket for that.
