Jagdambey Rice Mill

We are located over on Kot Bhai Road in Giddarbaha. Our mill operates alongside Mohit Trading Company, so there is always a lot of activity around here. Giddarbaha is a busy place, and being on this road means we see a lot of traffic. We spend our days looking at piles of rice and making sure things are moving through the mill correctly. It’s hard work, and your clothes end up smelling like grain by the end of the shift. We don’t have a website or any of that modern stuff. If someone wants to talk, they just come to the office and sit down. There’s usually a pot of tea going. We talk about the weather and how the markets are doing. The machines we use have been around for a while, but they still get the job done. Sometimes they break down, and we have to spend half the day fixing a belt or cleaning out a clogged pipe. It can be frustrating, but that’s just how it is. We have a few steady workers who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the place. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just run the mill and try to keep things moving. The trucks come and go, and we just keep working. It’s a simple life, but it suits us well enough. Most evenings we are quite tired, but there is always more to do tomorrow.
