Eshwar Electric Work

We’ve been running Eshwar Electric Work here on Faridkot Road for a long time now. Our shop is pretty close to the Old Grain Market and the post office in Talwandi Bhai, so there is always some noise or tractors passing by outside. Most of the time, we are busy with motor winding or fixing ceiling fans that have stopped working during the hot summer months. It gets quite dusty because of the grain market nearby, but we just keep working through it. Sometimes people drop off their old pumps and we have to take them apart completely to find where the wire burnt out. It’s messy work and our hands are usually covered in black grease by lunch. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools. Local farmers come in quite a bit when their motor starters act up in the fields. We try to get things done as they come, though sometimes if a specific spare part isn't in stock, we have to wait a day or two. The shop isn't fancy, just a few benches and shelves full of copper wire and capacitors. We usually have tea from the stall nearby while we figure out a tricky wiring problem. It’s just regular work, nothing too complicated, but it keeps us busy from morning until the market shuts down for the day.
