Saatvik Rice Export Private Limited is based in the Mittal Complex in Firozpur. We’re located right opposite Defence Colony, near the railway crossing in Satiya Wala village. You can often hear the trains passing by when we’re working, which reminds us how much cargo is moving through the area. Our location is quite practical for moving rice, which is what we do. We handle the export side of things, so there’s a lot of checking grains and managing large bags of rice. The office in the complex is pretty simple. We don’t have any modern art on the walls or designer furniture. It’s just desks, computers, and samples of different types of rice in small jars. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and buyers. It’s a very traditional business in many ways. We’ve been in Firozpur for years and we know the land and the crop well. It’s a busy place during harvest season. We work long hours then to make sure everything is processed and ready for shipping. We aren't trying to be some high-tech startup. We’re just a group of people who know the rice trade inside and out. The railway crossing nearby is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us, even if the traffic gets stuck there sometimes. It’s a bit of a dusty area because of the grain, but it’s home to our business. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day.
