We operate out of 278 Badi Chhapeti on Dakiyan Street. It is one of those old streets where the buildings are close together and you can see the history in the brickwork. Our office is a simple place with a few desks, some chairs, and a lot of paperwork. We spend most of our time here dealing with the day-to-day tasks that keep a business going. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We have been in Badi Chhapeti for quite a while now, so we are used to the rhythm of the street. In the mornings, you can hear the shutters of all the shops opening up one by one. We usually start our work around the same time. We handle things in a very traditional way, using paper and files rather than everything being on a screen. Sometimes we have visitors who come in to talk business over a cup of tea. We don’t have any fancy meeting rooms, so we just talk at the main desk. The windows are small, so we keep the lights on even during the day. It’s a quiet place for the most part, away from the main road’s noise. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just do our work, talk to our clients, and go home at the end of the day. It is a basic, honest way to run a company in this part of town, and we plan to stay here for as long as we can.
