We are located over in Shikohabad at number 874 in the Professor Colony area. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main market, but we like it here. We work with denim, handling the fabrics and seeing what needs to be moved out to customers. The space at Pooja Grah is where everything happens. It gets pretty dusty with all the blue lint from the fabric, but that’s part of the trade. My desk is usually covered in swatches and delivery notes that need signing. We aren’t a massive operation with hundreds of people, just a handful of us making sure the rolls of cloth get to where they’re supposed to go. Sometimes the deliveries are late because the roads around here can get congested, but we manage. You’ll see us moving boxes in and out throughout the day. People sometimes ask why we chose Shikohabad, and it’s mostly just because it’s home. It’s not a shiny showroom, it’s just a place where the work happens. Denim is a tough material, so the machines have to be kept in good shape. We spend a lot of time just checking the inventory and making sure the shades of blue are right. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We’ve been in this spot for some time now and the neighbors know us well enough.
