Shree Lakshmi Trading Company

You can find Shree Lakshmi Trading Company at No. 30/2 in Gher Assgran, right on Doodh Wali Gali. We are quite close to the Clock Tower, which is the main landmark everyone uses to find their way around here. Doodh Wali Gali is a narrow lane and it can get very crowded with people and carts moving through. Our shop is a small, traditional space where we have been trading for quite some time. We don't have air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that spin all day long. The walls are lined with wooden cupboards that hold all our stock. It feels like a very old part of the city, and we like that. We spend a lot of time talking to the other traders in the lane and drinking tea while we wait for the next delivery. We keep our accounts in big handwritten books because that is how we have always done it. There is no computer on the front counter, just a calculator and some pens. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several customers arrive at once in such a small space, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most modern company. We just want to provide what people need and stay on good terms with our neighbors. The Clock Tower bells are something we hear every day, marking the time until we close up the shop and head home.
