Amit Clinic

Our clinic is right at the Birlam Gate Chorha in Kasganj City. It’s a very noisy spot because of all the traffic at the crossroads. You can hear the horns and the shouting of the rickshaw drivers all day long. We’ve been at this location for a good while. The entrance is right off the main path, so it’s easy for people to find us when they are passing through the Birlam Gate area. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but not much. We have a small consultation room and a place for patients to sit while they wait. The floor is old tile and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. I usually handle the front while the doctor sees people in the back. We see all sorts of cases, mostly the usual things like seasonal flu or stomach aches. In Kasganj, everyone seems to be in a hurry, but they stop here when they aren't feeling well. We keep the medicine cabinets stocked as best as we can. We aren't trying to be the biggest clinic in the city. We just want to be the one that’s there when the locals need us. Sometimes the tea seller from the corner brings us a glass when we’re too busy to leave the desk. It’s just a normal part of life here at the Chorha. When evening comes, we pack up our things, pull down the heavy metal shutter, and head home.
