Surinder Kumar & Co is located at Shop No-31 in the New Grain Market area of Jalalabad West. This part of town gets very busy, especially when harvest time comes around and the tractors start lining up. We are situated quite close to the Anaj Mandi, so there is always a lot of noise and movement throughout the day. Our shop isn't anything fancy or modern, just a regular place where we handle our daily business with the local farmers and traders. Most days start early here, often before the sun is fully up, to get things ready for the morning arrivals. The office has a few old chairs and a desk covered in papers and ledgers that we use to keep track of everything. We spend a lot of time sitting outside or near the front, watching the trucks go by and talking to people who stop in for a bit. It gets dusty in the market, and the air smells like dry grain and diesel from the engines. We have been here at this spot for a while now, and most folks in the market know where to find us. It’s a practical way of life, dealing with the seasons and the crops as they come in. We just focus on getting the work done and keeping the shop running. There is always someone coming in to check prices or just to have a quick cup of tea while they wait for their load to be weighed.
