Shri Durga Rice & General Mills

Out here in Village Danewale, things move at a bit of a different pace. We are Shri Durga Rice & General Mills, located right where Tek Chand Satpal is known. It’s a quiet village mostly, but the mill stays busy enough. We have the usual stacks of bags piled up high. The birds always try to get into the grain, so we have to keep an eye on that. We know everyone around here. Working in a village means you see your neighbors every day. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just the mill and the warehouse. The equipment is older, but we keep it running with a bit of grease and some patience. When harvest comes, the whole place changes. It gets noisy and the tractors line up all the way down the dirt path. We don't really think about being a big company. We are just a part of the village. Sometimes we sit outside on old wooden benches and talk about the weather or how the crops are doing. My clothes always smell like toasted grain at the end of the day. It’s a good smell, actually. We don't change much from year to year. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but the work comes first. Shri Durga Rice & General Mills is just our life, day in and day out, right here in Village Danewale. It is what it is.
