Rajiv Hospital

Rajiv Hospital is located in Malout, specifically near the Suraj Textile Mill. If you are familiar with the mill, then you have definitely seen our building. This area is industrial, so many of our patients are workers and families who live nearby. It isn't a massive complex, but there is enough space for the daily work we do. Being here for years has made us part of the local scenery. In the waiting area, there are some old chairs and a TV that usually has the news on. It is a simple setup for simple needs. Families come in for advice or small treatments. A fancy lobby isn't something you will find here. Dust is a bit of a problem because of the mill and the heavy road traffic, so we are always cleaning the desks. The doctors and nurses are practical people who don't use complicated words. Telling it like it is seems to work best for everyone. Sometimes the wait is a bit long if we are short-staffed, but people in Malout are generally patient with us. They understand we are doing what we can with what we have. Providing the basics is our main task, and we make sure everyone who comes in gets seen eventually. It’s a local place for local people. We keep the doors open and stay ready for whatever happens during the day. It is hard work, but it feels right being here.
